New Starters at Scorpion

Scorpion are continuing to grow and are pleased to announce these new additions to the team:-

Martin Janes – Quantity surveyor
Martin started his career as a trainee QS for Dean and Dyball getting involved in several multi-million-pound project from Sandbanks to Tidworth. After the firm was purchased and shut down by Balfour Beatty he got involved in shop fitting Hollister and Boots stores across the county and most recently he has been invoiced in the construction of several luxury homes on Sandbanks and surrounding areas.
Martin’s QS career ranges from being involved in multi-million-pound projects, shop fitting Hollister & Boots stores, to the construction of luxury homes on Sandbanks and surrounding areas.

James Hoy – Senior Project Manager
James has 35 years’ experience in the industrial and commercial roofing and cladding sector, with an extensive knowledge of contract management.  He is responsible for effective and efficient project delivery, running all aspects of contracts from purchasing, negotiating prices, health and safety, tool box talks, managing labour resources, maintaining specifications, workmanship quality, plant, access equipment and cranes and managing projects timelines.  He brings with him extensive knowledge of roofing and cladding in the steel sector.

Mark Weakley – QMS Manager
Mark Weakley joined us in November after spending the last eight years working in the Nuclear Energy sector. He brings a wealth of experience in management systems and has implemented Quality and Environmental systems throughout his career including systems for Bourne Engineering when previously working with Andre back in the late 2000’s.

Phil Reed – Estimator
Recently returned to Scorpion as an Estimator after a previous spell of seven years.  Prior to that a varied career in construction as both Estimator & Quantity Surveyor.

Charlie Booker – Business Development Manager
Charlie grew up on his family’s farm in Oxfordshire and has spent the past 10 years in the rural sector selling property, land and buildings.
